The Great Rescue

Disasters have been in the news a lot, but when you see people being found, it brings to remembrance the good news we do not hear as often as we should. The care we share to those in distress, reminds us that love always triumphs against the darkest moments. It is a joy and a relief when those who are lost are reunited with their loved ones and brought back to a safe haven.

The bible is not just a life book, but it can be described as The Great Rescue, where God redeems and brings His people back to into a loving relationship. Salvation means saved, and once we have experienced God's great rescue, we cannot help about telling others about the Good News. This gospel has been shared throughout the world, and it is the joy the lost feel, will reconcile them into His family.

Nothing we can do will earn us this salvation, only those who God calls to Himself and allows Him in. The world will know who He is, but not all will choose to join God's family. God loves His creation so much, and has no desire to see anyone perish, but like the door with the knob on our side, it is our decision to make. Everyone makes a choice to be rescued or not.

But what kind of life can we experience if we dare to open the door? A rich spiritual life, strong support from a church family, and share the Good News with others. There is no guarantee of an easy life, but as we are moulded and shaped to be like Jesus, we can be a reflection of how we should live. Once we are reunited in heaven, we will come into our full restoration of how all of creation was meant to be.
